For the first time in its 26-year history, the National Junior Disability Championships (NJDC) were in Chicagoland. World Sport Chicago was proud to be the title sponsor of the ten-day event hosted by the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA). The events took place in Lake Forest and Deerfield and over 300 athletes with physical or visual disabilities under age 22 from the US, Canada and Bermuda participated. Illinois was the only state to have more than one team represented; we had eight teams at NJDC. This is very exciting evidence of the growing Paralympic Movement in Chicagoland!
