Chicago 2016 to Attend Asian Youth Games

CHICAGO (June 26, 2009)—Next week, a delegation from Chicago 2016 will travel to Singapore to attend the 2009 Asian Youth Games, held June 29-July7. The delegation includes Director of Sport, Venues and Operations Doug Arnot, Committee Member Selim Bassoul, Senior Advisor Michael Kontos and United States Olympic Committee Director of International Strategies and Development Dragomir Cioroslan.

The bid committee will attend the Games to show its support for the young athletes and to share information about Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games with leaders of sport in attendance.
