Volunteer Service Opportunities
For an Event: Volunteer Team
The need for volunteers is an vital one, as World Sport Chicago is constantly seeking passionate and committed people to join our team by helping out at events. Volunteer commitments are usually single day commitments, please see the page for more information.
At a School: Athlete Ambassador Program
Athlete Ambassadors teach Chicago youth values and character traits for success in life. They use their real-life stories to teach students to set personal goals for themselves. Athlete Ambassadors are required to meet with their partner elementary schools students at least three times during the year. The ABCs the Athlete Ambassadors teach are: Athletics, Behavior and Course performance.
In Leadership & Support: Associate Board
The Associate Board provides young professionals with the opportunity to support the mission of World Sport Chicago by supplementing the already existing board of directors, and create valuable professional development opportunities in the process. The board requires a one-year membership commitment.
Service-Learning & Career Opportunities
The World Sport Chicago team is small but dynamic and consistently looking for opportunities to evolve as we see our mission and impact grow.
The World Sport Chicago internship program is designed for college undergraduate and graduate students to get on-site experience with a not-for-profit sports engagement and social development agency. Our internship opportunities focus on learning through hands-on experience with guidance and support from full-time staff. The length of the program lasts 8-12 weeks, with interns committing to work at least 24 hours a week.
