World Sport Chicago Programs

World Sport Chicago’s programming is focused on creating equitable access to play and sport through community based leadership. At a young age, play and sport helps to develop gross motor skills, including coordination balance, running, and jumping by stimulating connections between the brain and nerve cells. Studies have also found that it helps to promote cognitive and social development, including language skills, problem solving, sharing, and empathy. By partnering with community based organizations, coalitions, and community members, our organization works to combat the barriers that many youth face, allowing everyone to experience the power of play and sport.
