Archery World Sport Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago Park District, is launching its new Archery program after assuming archery services form Lives on Target and Archery Education Resources at the beginning of 2012. The program aims to introduce Chicago youth to archery; while providing a safe, fun, and recreational experience. The Archery program also offers a training path for participants who intend to pursue elite or competitive levels in archery. These opportunities are provided through programs at schools, parks and city-wide events. WSC is aware of the many benefits of archery such as the enhancement of an individual’s mental fitness as well as physical conditioning. Also, because individuals of all ages, body types and physical abilities are able to practice this sport, WSC invites everyone to participate through its new Archery program.
Schedule In partnership with the Chicago Park District, World Sport Chicago will now offer general public classes at Pulaski Park three days per week. Pulaski Park is located at: 1419 W. Blackhawk St., Chicago, IL 60622. General Public Classes at Pulaski Park: (Begin the week of January 9th) • Tuesday 6:00pm – Archery I: Auditorium 7:00pm – Archery I: Auditorium • Thursday 6:00pm – Archery I: Auditorium 7:00pm – Archery I: Auditorium • Saturday 11:00am – Archery I: Kids only (14 and under) East Gymnasium 12:00pm – Archery I: All ages East Gymnasium 1:00pm – Archery I: Adults only (18+) East Gymnasium Open Lane Shooting, for advanced archers, is now available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during regular class time. To register for these classes, you must do so through the Chicago Park District website or by calling the park directly.
