World Sport Chicago has partnered with the Chicago Park District and USA Badminton to establish an organized youth badminton program in the Chicago parks. The badminton program was launched in the fall of 2008 in 41 park locations and was open to ages 8 - 14 years old. The fall session culminated with a championship tournament which held at the Mayor's Holiday Sports Festival December 27th - 29th at McCormick Place in Chicago. World Sport Chicago will work closely with USA Badminton and the Chicago Park District to continue to develop and expand the program throughout the Chicago-land area.
