The World Sport Chicago Summer Track Program supports Chicago youth (ages 6-16) in finding a fun and healthy way to stay active over the summer months and to connect with others through the sport of track and field. The program partners with and supports local neighborhood associations and volunteers to provide coaching and guidance on the elements of a healthy and active lifestyle and lessons on sportsmanship and Olympism.
Parent volunteers and community coaches at independent teams will run regular workouts sponsored by World Sport Chicago. World Sport Chicago will also host three open meets for these teams and any other Chicago families interested in participating in a fun-filled day of races. The meets are free and open to all youth including those with physical or visual disabilities.

Finding a Team
Families wishing to connect with a sponsored community team should check out our list of sponsored clubs and summer programs:
- Work with the designated coach or team leader to make sure their practice schedule and team expectations align with what your family is looking for.
- Follow their team registration procedures for their club and for the World Sport Chicago meets.
Parent volunteers or track coaches interested in learning how to be added to this list and opening their club or summer program up to new athletes should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 312-861-4935.
Most coaches will help families participating with their club get registered for their meets.
Families not working out regularly with a sponsored club but still interested in attending the meets should download, review and complete the 2016 meet registration packet. Completed registration and consent forms may be emailed to email@example.com or faxed to 312-861-4801.
Meet registration is only needed once for the season with the deadlines as follows for the three summer meets:
