PlayStreets Chicago

Supported by the City of Chicago and the Chicago Department of Public Health, PlayStreets Chicago is a citywide initiative to encourage neighborhood organizations and residents to temporarily close off residential streets and provide Chicago families with pop-up play spaces to come together, be safe and get active. These free PlayStreets events empower communities to come together and address barriers to active, fun and healthy play.

Together 2015 PlayStreets partners organized over 150 events in communities throughout Chicago that lack access to safe play spaces or have a higher incidence of childhood obesity and sedentary behavior.

More information about PlayStreets 2016 will be announced soon. If you are interested in learning more about PlayStreets or supporting future PlayStreets events, contact Jason at 312-861-4843 or [email protected]
